Agentic SDLC

Built bySenior engineersCore Up method26 years of DB1

Everyone already uses AI. Few teams get a real, measurable result.

We put an AI-driven development method in place with your team, on a real project, and measure the result against your own indicators. It works with the agent you already use, with no new platform. At the end, the method stays with you.

Why consulting

Buying an AI tool does not change how your team builds software. Changing the method, with people who have done it, does.

Spec-driven development is not just a development topic. The critical point lies in analysis and documentation, at the very start: if the specification is not mature and standardized, the rest of the pipeline does not work, with or without a coding agent.

That is why the consulting starts with analysis, not with code. We design the process with your team, apply it on a real project and leave the method written down in the repository. The effect shows up where management can see it: more deliveries, fewer bugs coming back and less rework, measured before and after.

AI investment with no real result

Licenses bought, everyone using them, and nobody can show how much the team gained. With no measured starting point, the gain stays an impression.

In practiceWe measure against the estimate: a portal planned for 3 months shipped in 1.

With AI, quality got worse

More code comes out in less time, and more bugs come back. When the specification arrives vague, the agent returns guesses, and rework grows.

In practiceThat same portal shipped 3x faster, with bugs below 1% per feature.

The team does not deliver what it could

Deliveries run late and lead time does not drop, even with AI. One developer generates whole modules, another only autocompletes: with no common rule, delivery depends on who asked, not on the process.

In practiceAn ERP-sized system, planned for 8 months with 4 devs, shipped in 6 months with 3.

No AI know-how in house

Everyone learns alone, by trial and error, and nobody knows which requests should go to AI and which should not.

None of these problems is solved with another tool. It takes method, roles and team discipline.
Who has done it

The path you are starting, we have already traveled.

  1. 2024

We started using AI to generate code on simpler projects.

  2. 2024

In the first months of Lovable we were already vibe coding. That is when we understood that quality and security would require an AI agent of our own.

  3. 2025

As the models evolved, we expanded the use to every project, including complex ones, apps and legacy systems.

  4. 2025 to 2026

Several projects in production, 100% spec-driven, with proven quality and test coverage.

  5. Today

At DB1 Itênex, projects are developed spec-driven and with our own agents, whether web, app, legacy or complex.

What you take away

Experience that became a method, a stronger team and management that sees the result.

The gain comes from people who know where the agent speeds things up, where it gets things wrong and where the decision has to be a person's, and who teach that to your team.

01

Two years of cases and a consolidated method

Since 2024 we have applied AI on real projects, from the simplest to legacy and complex ones. What worked became a method, and the people who lead it with your team are the ones who built it, in your repository, not in a lab.

4xfaster in the BRK case
02

You buy results, not hours

The consulting has a defined timeline and deliverables at each stage, not allocated hours. What counts at the end is the progress measured against your team's starting point.

03

Management view and telemetry

Cycle indicators and telemetry so your management can follow the team's performance: deliveries, lead time, returned bugs and rework. The result stops being an impression and becomes data.

04

Your team learns by doing

Training on the real project, side by side: roles, rituals, documentation and specification standards. When the consulting leaves, your team runs the cycle.

05

Tool independent

The method works with the coding agent your team already uses. When it makes sense, we bring Clovis Agentic, our own tooling, to orchestrate the work.

Definition

What is the consulting in Agentic SDLC?

Agentic SDLC is the software life cycle redesigned so that AI agents work at every stage, from request to delivery. The consulting is how your team gets there: with DB1 Itênex at your side, we

  • Train and assessWe align business and engineering and read how analysis and development work today, with indicators.
  • Design the method with your teamStages, human gates, documentation and specification standards, and the action plan for each role.
  • Put it to work on the real projectSide by side on a real feature, and we measure the result against the baseline.

Human validation is not occasional, nor a step to be removed over time. It is part of the design. A person comes in where the decision is theirs, and what they decide becomes a versioned rule.

Our team uses Clovis Agentic, our own product, on the MAG, Votorantim and CrediSis projects.Meet Clovis Agentic

How we work

Four stages, from alignment to measured results.

Each stage has a defined format, duration and deliverables. The final schedule is set at kick-off, with the calendars of the key people on your team.

01

Training

Tailored workloadOn site or live remote

What happens

  • Team alignment: AI fundamentals for everyone and the spec-driven cycle for engineering.
  • Block A, for everyone (business and engineering): what changed with AI, how an LLM works, agents, skills and MCP.
  • Block B, for engineering (PO, tech lead, analysts and devs): spec-driven development, its stages and quality gates.
  • The role of analysis and specification as a prerequisite for everything that comes after.
  • Live, with room for questions and discussion with the team.

What you keep

  • Training delivered live
  • Support material and a knowledge base for reference
  • Q&A session with the team
02

Assessment

1 day with your team, delivered in 7 daysOn site recommended

What happens

  • An immersion in your development operation to map process improvements.
  • Analysis front: how analysis is done today, whether there are requirements analysts and QA, how the specification reaches the dev and where the documentation lives.
  • Development front: how the team uses AI, how roles are spread along the pipeline and which requests should or should not move to AI.
  • Choosing the pilot feature: the best place to start.
  • Adjustments that can be applied right away are communicated before the report, so the team can start adapting.

What you keep

  • Action plan by role (PO, tech lead, analyst and dev) and a documentation standard built from what you already have
  • Indicator baseline: deliveries per month, open PRs, returned bugs and lead time
  • As-Is → To-Be map of the flows and the people involved
  • Strategic report for management and an operational report by front
03

Put it to work

1 week2 days on site and 3 remote, in pair programming

What happens

  • Planning and specifying the pilot feature in the new standard, with the team.
  • Your team executes; the consulting guides, reviews and corrects the course.
  • The request goes through each role in the pipeline: PO → Analyst → Tech Lead → Dev → validation.
  • Checking the result: did it ship, did it come back with bugs, where did it get stuck and why.

What you keep

  • One or more real features taken end to end, with your team leading
  • Fine-tuning of the specification standard and the artifacts
  • A record of the friction points found during execution
04

Results

Within the total periodMeasurement and follow-up

What happens

  • Presentation of the results achieved by applying the method in practice.
  • The same baseline indicators collected again after the operating period: deliveries per month and lead time for team productivity, returned bugs for quality.
  • A before-and-after comparison, with no number promised in advance.
  • Identifying the new bottlenecks that the acceleration exposed.

What you keep

  • Comparative indicator report, baseline × after rollout
  • Presentation of the results to management and engineering
  • Recommendations for evolution and a suggested roadmap
Total duration60 to 90 days

Between the Assessment and Put it to work there is a window for your team: adapting the documentation and specifying the pilot feature in the new standard. It can take 30 days or more and depends on your pace, not on the consulting.

Core Up, the method your team learns

Five stages. A human gate at each one.

It is the technique the consulting puts in place: each stage run by agents with their own context, producing the input for the next one, and nothing moves forward without the approval of whoever answers for the result.

How a request moves through the cycle: each green diamond is a person on our team saying yes.
  1. You bring your business challenge.
  2. AI agents read the code and the business and map where the problem is.
  3. A person on our team validates the discovery.
  4. Agents document each part of the system.
  5. We review and sign the project rules, the Harness: what the AI can and cannot do.
  6. Agents turn the rules into a specification, a plan and tests.
  7. A person approves the plan before the first line of code.
  8. Agents write the code within the rules.
  9. Security tests run automatically on every delivery.
  10. An engineer reviews and approves every delivery.
  11. Release to production is automatic.
  12. Agents follow the running system.
  13. Every quarter, a person reviews the health of the system.
  14. what we learn feeds the next cycle
The proof

The same project, in less time and with fewer people.

Three real projects run with the same method, from a portal to an ERP-sized system. The estimate shrank because the way of working changed.

Speeding up did not cost quality.
The speed did not come from loosening supervision. It came from clearing away the context work, which is what eats up the time of the people who decide.

Who it is for

A consulting for those who already have a team, and want it to work differently.

It is for you if

  • You already invest in AI and cannot show the gain
  • Quality dropped, or rework went up, after the team started using AI
  • The team delivers below what it could, and each person uses AI differently
  • Your company already has an in-house development team, active and with time to take part
  • Leadership sponsors the process change and backs the team during the transition
  • There is a real feature in the backlog that can serve as a pilot
  • You want the method to stay with the team, not with a vendor

It is not for you if

  • You need to set up a development team from scratch
  • You want the consulting to run the project instead of your team. For that there are our Custom Projects and Tech Talent AI
Frequently asked questions

Before you start.

What exactly does the consulting deliver?

A development cycle redesigned and working on your real project: stages, roles, human gates, documentation and specification standards, and the Harness for your context. All versioned in your repository, with your team trained to run it alone and the result measured against the baseline.

How long does it take?

From 60 to 90 days, in four stages: Training (with a tailored workload), Assessment (1 day with your team, delivered in 7 days), Put it to work (1 week) and Results. Between the assessment and the pilot there is a window for your team to adapt the documentation, which can take 30 days or more. The final schedule is set at kick-off.

Does my team need to stop for this?

No. The consulting works on a delivery that is already in your backlog. The pilot is real work, done with the new method, side by side with our team.

Do we need to have analysts and QA?

Not to start. Many teams do not have a formal analysis stage, and that is exactly what the assessment shows. The action plan defines who takes on analysis and validation in each role, with the team you already have.

The team already uses AI and quality got worse. Does the consulting solve that?

It is one of the most common scenarios. The drop usually comes from vague specifications and from each person using AI in a different way. The method puts the specification before the code, with test scenarios and human review at every stage, and we measure returned bugs before and after to show the difference. On a portal we delivered 3x faster than planned, bugs stayed below 1% per feature.

My team is delivering little. Does the consulting improve performance?

That is the goal, and it is measured. Low performance usually comes from specifications that arrive incomplete, from rework and from uneven use of AI. In the assessment we measure your team's deliveries per month and lead time; after the rollout we measure again and show the progress, without promising a number beforehand. As a reference: on an ERP-sized system, planned for 8 months with 4 devs, we delivered in 6 months with 3.

Does every request go to AI?

No. Not every request should move. In the assessment we separate the types of request that pay off with agents from those that remain better the current way, and we choose the pilot from there.

How do you measure the result?

In the assessment we collect an indicator baseline: deliveries per month, open PRs, returned bugs and lead time. In the Results stage we measure the same indicators again and deliver the before-and-after comparison, with the new bottlenecks that showed up.

Do I need to buy a new tool?

No. The method works with the coding agent your team already uses. When it makes sense, our team uses Clovis Agentic to orchestrate the work, and you decide whether it stays afterwards.

Does it work on legacy systems?

That is where the method pays off the most. Discovery reads the legacy code, separates business rules from defects and escalates to whoever decides anything the evidence cannot resolve, instead of copying or silently fixing it.

What about security and compliance?

The agents operate within the Harness boundaries defined for your context, with SAST/DAST before every merge and an auditable trail up to the approver. Process certified CMMI DEV/3, ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001.

How to start

Start with an assessment of your cycle. We show you where it gets stuck.

And where to start. The proposal comes with a fixed scope, based on what we find, not on an estimate of hours.

  • A conversation with senior engineers who have already led this transition in critical software
  • A reading of your current cycle: where AI is generating results and where it is generating rework
  • A fixed-scope proposal, based on evidence and not on an estimate of hours
